i am using this braket to hang the GPSMAP60CSX while driving.it is not adjustable to turn the screen against my face it can turn upside down and rotate 360 but it stay straight.second problem i feel that i will broke it when trying to turn it is not a heavy duty braket.
I can't believe Garmin would sell such an inferior product. The mount is so flimsy that the GPS constantly vibrates while driving.Since the mount only offers only limited adjustments, I had a really hard time positioning it to a decent viewing angle in 3 or 4 different vehicles. The adjustment screws don't stay tight, which causes the GPS to spin 90 degrees. Most times, the suction cup loses its grip causing the whole shebang to fall off the windshield.
I am ordering mine as soon as I finish writing this up. Needless to say, I am not happy.
My nearly new, pristine 60CSx got a nice scratch on the screen the other day when this happened. Spend a few bucks more and get a RAM Mounting Systems Suction Cup Mount for Garmin GPS 60, GPSMAP 60, 60C, 60CS, 60CX, 60CSx instead of this garbage.
What a disappointment. Of course, this only happens if the suction cup holds long enough.
Besides being an annoyance, this is also unsafe if it happens while you're driving down the road.Do yourself a favor.
Works as advertised. So far so good. I like the flexibility in the design in that you can remove the tension screws and re-arange the parts for a custom mount.
It sticks very well and has managed to remain on for about 5 days, without me having even cleaned the windscreen first. One comment I have noticed that is wrong is that you cannot angle it sideways. If you angle the suction cup section so that it is not straight up and down the windscreen then you can get the units face to point off to the side and the rotating head (directly under the GPS mounting bracket) allows you vertically allign the GPS itself.Would be 5 stars but for the movement and the difficulty of putting GPS in/out with power cable in.Steve As others have said it does move a bit if you don't rest the bottom on the dash but that is not hard to organise. This is actually quite easy to do simply by adjusting the angle at which you attach the suction cup to the windscreen.
This had to be returned because the part number Amazon had is incorrect. Had to to Garmin for the correct number.
